PRIZES
The Eco Marathon runs through the La Donaira estate, La Dehesa Biodinámica and the municipalities of Montecorto (Málaga) and El Gastor (Cádiz). And it is one of the few sporting races that awards cash prizes:

42 KM MOUNTAIN MARATHON
A challenge over the mythical distance of the marathon 42 km and 2000 mts of positive difference in altitude, with a circular route and through a natural environment to be completed in a maximum of 7 hours.
TRAIL CxM 19 KM
Run and enjoy the scenery, the beautiful villages like El Gastor and Montecorto, a 19 km circular trail run with 900 mts positive that will leave you breathless.
NORDIC WALKING TRAVERSE
Competitive team trekking: 4 Nordic Walking walkers, under a rhythm imposed by the organization, will walk a 19 km circular route with 900 mts of positive difference in altitude through a privileged environment. A physical and strategic challenge for the teams, where you can enjoy Nordic Walking and good times doing sport with your club.
HIKING
Non-competitive event. Take your race number, to have 7 hours enjoying nature at your own pace for 19 km.
MINI MARATHON (CHILDREN)
Children’s race from 0 to 18 years old, with an approximate distance of 1 km through the streets and streets of the white village of El Gastor. An initiative to promote sport and health from a young age.
MORE INFORMATION:
Each year, we will donate 10% of the proceeds to environmental causes.
The children’s play centre is an initiative to enable all family members to participate in the sporting event.
The children’s workshops during the race will be focused on raising awareness of the importance and how they can help to conserve the environment.
“Run, respect and feel nature” is the slogan of the Eco Marathon. The idea was born out of a strong concern for the future we are going to leave to our children.
Why is it an Eco Marathon? We aim to reduce the use of plastic and the impact on the environment as much as possible, which is why the majority of the materials used on the course will be ecological.
