IV LA DONAIRA ECO MOUNTAIN MARATHON 25th November 2023
The 4th edition of the La Donaira Mountain Eco Marathon will be
held on 25th November 2023.
The event is committed to the conservation of the natural environment through sport. For this reason, each year we allocate 10% of the proceeds to environmental causes, this year it will go ‘Corredor Verde del Parque Natural de la Sierra de Grazalema’.(National Park of Grazalema Corredor Verde)
Our purpose is to raise awareness about the importance of reducing the carbon footprint, our environmental impact and reduce the use of plastic as much as possible. How do we contribute to this mission? Using ecological and recycled materials for sports equipment, marking the route with biodegradable beacons, offering ecological products made by us and holding a children’s workshop in nature.
“Run, respect and feel nature” is the slogan of the Eco Marathon. The idea was inspired by our strong concern for the future we are going to leave to our children. And because of this, our objective is that the race is enjoyed as a family unit, and why we have created a play center service so that each member can experience the La Donaira Eco Marathon in their own way.

PRIZES
The Eco Marathon runs through Finca La Donaira, La Dehesa Biodinámica and the municipalities of Montecorto (Málaga) and El Gastor (Cádiz). And it is one of the few sporting races that awards cash prizes:
1st Classified: 200 euros
2nd Classified: 100 euros
3rd Classified: 50 euros
MOUNTAIN MARATHON 42KM
A challenge over the mythical distance of the marathon 42 km and 2000 mts of positive difference in altitude, with a circular route and through a natural environment to be completed in a maximum of 7 hours.
TRAIL 19KM
Run and enjoy the scenery, the beautiful villages like El Gastor and Montecorto, a 19 km circular trail run with 900 mts positive that will leave you breathless.
HIKING 19KM
Non-competitive event. Take your race number, to have 7 hours enjoying nature at your own pace for 19 km.
CHILDREN’S RACE
Children’s race from 0 to 18 years old, with an approximate distance of 1 km through the streets and streets of the village Montecorto. An initiative to promote sport and health from a young age.
