La Donaira offers a range of guided hikes on and off the finca designed to suit all fitness levels. Available daily, with night walks when there is a full moon. Picnics can be prepared by the kitchen if desired – please consult with one of our hosts. All routes are available on the application Wikiloc, which allows you to follow the tracks using your mobile device. You just have to download the application, create your account and confirm your email address. All La Donaira’s tracks are free to use for you. Mountain bikes and safety helmets are available for guests to use. We also provide water bottles, sunscreen and insect repellant.
PARAGLIDING
When the right weather conditions meet, walk to the top of La Donaira’s mountain while our mules Sylvia and Frida carry your paragliding material. Take off from the peak of La Donaira in tandem with David Pérez Dominguez, our professional paragliding instructor with 20 years of flight experience. Flying simultaneously with your life partner, your friend or your family is also made possible in tandem with a second instructor.
If the wind blows in certain directions, the take-off will have to be made from either Algodonales or Ronda la Vieja top plateaus, both spots unique for their para- gliding conditions, making flying possible all year long.
Capture the immensity of the Earth, and come back from this experience with a new appreciation for life.
STARGAZING
In the heart of Serranía de Ronda, a truly starry night sky awaits. Get into this natural environment leaving the light pollution behind and enjoy a great night under the stars.
We suggest this activity guided by our star specialist; learn about the Universe, discover galaxies, planets, stars, nebulae; and get to know better the closest satellite to the Earth, the Moon, with our Celestron cpc 800 telescope.
A special night to enjoy by yourself or with your partner, family or friends. Check with your host for availability.
