SUMMER CONCERTS IN LA DONAIRA: JULIEN BROCAL – JULY 31st & AUGUST 1st
Winner of the BBC Music Magazine’s Newcomer of the Year Award 2018, Julien Brocal started learning piano at the age of five and first performed on the stage of the Salle Cortot in Paris at the age of seven. The French pianist returns to Finca La Donaira on July 31st & August 1st to delight us with Concert 1 of Chopin.
Along with the pianist Maria João Pires, Julien Brocal has given numerous concerts around the world. With the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra he performed at the prestigious Chopin Festival, the L’Opera di Firenze in the Great Artists series, at the Sheldonian Theater in Oxford, the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium in Las Palmas and at the Paris Philharmonic. He has also performed concerts at Cambridge Music Festival, Chopin Society in London and at NCPA in Beijing.
After releasing his third solo album “Sunset to Sunrise”, debuting at the recital at Wigmore Hall, in New York at Town Hall and at Savannah Music Festival with Camille Thomas, Julien Brocal reunites with La Donaira after being one of the performers at the Pause Festival 2018.
On July 31st and August 1st at 22.00, Julien Brocal will perform a concert together with his string quartet, an opportunity to listen to Chopin in the highlands of the Serranía de Ronda.

Tickets can be paid for at La Posada on the day, but due to limited availability, it is recommended to book in advance.
